Accused given a mention court date |

|
A man accused of attacking his mother on several occasions was given a mention date in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday, when he refuted the allegations and revealed to the court that his mother is an alcoholic. The accused man identified as Troy Francis of a Corporate Area address pleaded not guilty to the charge of assault occasioning bodily harm. According to the allegations, Francis attacked his mother on various occasions. This claim was supported by his mother in court. dastardly act However, the accused man claimed that he never hit his mother and that he would never commit such a dastardly act against her. He told the court that his mother is an alcoholic who goes around in the community and gives trouble. The accused man was ordered by the court the take his mother to a facility to deal with her problem and warned the mother about the consequences she will face if she refuse to go to these sessions. Francis was ordered to return to court on May 26. |
