If Juggla and Chozenn should get the chance to clash at the finals next week, they will only be continuing what they started on Saturday at an intense semi-face-off at Magnum Kings and Queens of the Dancehall, which was held at Weekenz, Constant Spring Road.

For his second stint on stage, Chozenn stepped out in a long trench coat saying, "the wildcard a move wild. Yuh a admire mi lips, now mi get vile. Last week him comb Gibralta hair." The crowd went into frenzy as he was obviously referring to Juggla. He also took jabs at Tanto Blacks when he said, "if yuh follow Tanto you will turn idiot."

The audience became rowdy and would not stop making loud noises even as the judges tried to speak. "You come out and you mean business. A weh yuh get dem lyrics deh daawdie? Maadd!" Miss Kitty managed to say, with all the chaos in the background.

lyric-filled performance

After a lukewarm performance from Mysterious, people in the audience shouted "send out Juggla!" And, they were quite happy when he stepped out in army gear, shouting "write dem off!" During his lyric-filled performance he referred to Chozenn as a liar and a puppy, for whom he brought a leash. Miss Kitty saluted him as the general and referred to all aspects of his performance as 'Maadd'.

"Unuh tie," Professor Nuts said, but the crowd shouted "no" in disagreement.

It did not stop there with the two contestants as they took their rivalry into the Lucky Dollarz Lounge where they spoke with Pretty Boy Floyd.

Chozenn referred to Juggla's lyrics as nursery rhymes but the audience booed when he said so. Juggla also insulted Chozenn and promised that he will be coming back next Saturday for the finals. Even when the show finished airing, they were at each others throats on stage. There, they did a mini-clash which kept patrons well entertained and reluctant to leave the venue.

But there were also more surprises at the start of the show when one of the crowd favourites, Tanto Blacks, was eliminated. For the females, it was Gallawas who was voted out.

Although out of the competition, Tanto Blacks promised patrons that they would be hearing one of his songs by next week. After his departure, the people shouted 'Twitter' and 'Blue Tooth', which are slangs he made popular on the show. In the Lucky Dollar Lounge he also sang.

very militant

Bumpa left the judges wanting more when she sang Recession Loving. Although she came out wearing a mask and looking very militant, she faltered when she forgot her lines in her second stint.

Press Fyah, who seems to be quite the silent warrior in the competition, had some people singing along to his song Keep Stepping. Professor Nuts was obviously impressed but producer and guest judge Mikey Bennett said, "my advice to you is to work on your vocals a little bit." For his second time on stage Miss Kitty commended him for his positive lyrics and good melody.

While Reggae Queen had impressive lyrics, she had many men in the audience distracted by her extremely tight leggings. In her second spell, she seemed to be on the warpath as she spat lyrics that moved the crowd.

During their first round on stage, Juggla and Chozenn impressed Mikey Bennett. The veteran producer said he foresees a wonderful recording career for Chozenn. For Juggla, he said, "your lyrics are very very good. I am very impressed. I can't think of anything negative to say.'

The breaks between performances were also filled with entertainment, as selectors Doctor C and Scientist played a song from some of the contestants. They also played Mavado's Gal A Mad Ova, Richie Loops' In My Cup, Ricky Blaze's I Feel Free and Aidonia's Wi Sick.

During the show, there was also strutting by male and female models. Elite Team provided tight choreography when they danced to hip hop and dancehall songs.
