E-fit of 'Hip Strip' robber released |

![]() Contributed WESTERN BUREAU: The Montego Bay police have released an e-fit of the man they believe may have murdered a shop attendant inside the Harley Davidson (Jamaica Limited) along Gloucester Avenue two Fridays ago. On May 14, the busy and popular Gloucester Avenue, famously known as the 'Hip Strip', was fearful and shocked as undertakers removed the body of Janice Beadle from the store where she worked. bullet to the neck Beadle, 29, from Glendevon, St James, died from a single bullet to the neck after she wrestled with an armed man who was robbing the store. The gunman walked into the store and demanded money. Beadle, described as a feisty and strong-willed person, held on to the robber's gun and during a struggle, she was shot. She died instantly. The gunman casually walked from the shop with money and goods and escaped in a waiting car. Investigators have not released any further details of the suspect, but were seeking the public's assistance in identifying and locating him.
