A security guard charged with wounding a schoolboy, pleaded not guilty in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court onTuesday. Norman Marshall denied cutting the Jamaica College student who was reportedly beaten by security guards. The court heard that in March 2009, Marshall was on duty at the Half-Way Tree Transport Centre, St Andrew, when he witnessed a brawl between students and another security officer. He intervened to quell the brawl. But afterwards, the court heard it alleged that the complainant was pulled from a JUTC bus by Marshall who, along with several other security guards, beat him up. Marshall was detained after the incident was reported to police. His bail was extended and he returns to court on July 28 for a preliminary hearing. |
