Accused burglar remanded |

|
A 22-year-old man who was accused of breaking into a house and stealing a number of items, denied all the charges brought against him in court yesterday. The accused,Winston Moore, pleaded not guilty to the charges, house breaking and receiving stolen property. The court was informed that Moore broke into the house in question and allegedly stole among other things, a Lasko standing fan, a microwave oven, and DVDs. He was also apparently found in possession of some of the stolen property, including a television set, a microwave oven, and a Toshiba DVD Player. Moore who told Resident Magistrate Georgianna Fraser that he had no legal representation, requested that his mother be asked if she will be hiring an attorney to represent him. However, the RM informed Moore that she will not grant his request because he is an adult and should be capable of making his own decisions. Moore was remanded until August 26. He also had to submit his fingerprints to the police. The investigating officer was bound over in the matter. |
