Richie Stephens promises a September to remember |

Richie Stephens - File Billboard-charting singer and former Motown Records recording artiste Richie Stephens will release his latest album Reggae Evolution on September 7 via VP Records. This will be his first album of new material in more than five years. In a recent release, Stephens said his fan base which has supported him over the years, will revel in what he has in store for them. "It will be a September to remember when this album is released. I am confident that the fans will love this one," said Stephens. Reggae Evolution features collaborations with dancehall artiste Assassin, internationally acclaimed dub poet Mutabaruka, international recording reggae and pop music singer Maxi Priest, and lovers rock king Beres Hammond. Among the tracks on the album are covers of A Change is Gonna Come, Hold On to What You Got, Salt of the Earth (Let's Drink), Heart of Love remix, and Cool it Down. A former lead vocalist for the British outfit Soul II Soul, Stephens scored big in the 1990s with hits such as By Your Side, Legacy (featuring Mad Cobra), Body Slam (with Patra), and Joy (with Soul II Soul). His most recent chart toppers include Heart of Love, Salt of the Earth and Take Me Away. |
