POLICE ASK RELATIVES TO COME FORWARD The Admiral Town police are appealing to the relatives of Christopher Stewart, a resident of Nelson Street, Jones Town, Kingston 12, to contact them immediately. Stewart's decomposing body was found at his home about 6 a.m yesterday. An on-the-spot post-mortem revealed that Stewart, who is believed to be about 60 years old, died of natural causes. The police are now asking relatives to come forward so that decisions regarding the disposal of the body can be taken. They are making a special appeal to his daughter, Christine Stewart, otherwise called 'Red Gyal', a higgler who plies her trade on King Street in downtown Kingston. It is imperative that Christine, any other relative, or any member of the public, who has information as to the whereabouts of Christine or another relative of Christopher Stewart, contact the Admiral Town police at 922-5362 or 922-6243. BSI LAUNCHES PROBE The Bureau of Special Investigations (BSI) has commenced a probe into an incident in which a man was fatally shot during a joint police/military operation at Gut Bottom in Granville, St James, about 5:45 a.m. yesterday. The dead man has been identified as Cedric Wright, believed to be about 27 years old. One home-made shotgun, one .38 Colt Revolver, four 12-gauge cartridges, four 9mm cartridges and five .38 rounds were seized in the incident. |
