Woman pleads guilty for abusing sister |

|
Two siblings, one claiming that she had to "sort out her sister", appeared before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court recently. Charged with assault occasioning bodily harm is Seresa Mundell. Seresa pleaded guilty with explanation, telling the court that her sister caused constant trouble. Seresa said she saw it fit to discipline her younger sister. Her sister, however, claimed that some reports of inappropriate behaviour were made to Seresa and, before talking to her about it, Seresa approached her in a shop, knocked her to the ground, gave her several blows with board all over her body before biting her on the shoulder. She also said that stones had been thrown at her. She then broke down in tears, telling the court that she was no longer interested in continuing with the matter. Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey told Seresa that she obviously had some apologising to do. An embarrassed Seresa apologised to her sister. The case was dismissed. |
