A love triangle is believed to have sparked the death of 17-year-old Najay Gentles who was stabbed to death last Friday after visiting the home of his teenage girlfriend who had warned him not to do so. Police sources who spoke to THE WEEKEND STAR said they are probing allegations that the young man was attacked by two knife wielding men, one of whom was said to be the other lover of the teenage girl, who is a student of a popular high school in St Andrew. According to the police, Gentles is believed to have gone to the young girl's home despite her instructions not to. It is believed that the young girl had told him not to come but did not explain why. However, out of curiosity he did and was killed. According to the Kingston Eastern police they have nabbed two suspects in connection with the murder but they are yet to be charged. This the police say is pending further allegations. According to the police, one of the suspects handed in himself on Monday, while the other suspect handed in himself yesterday evening. The police also spoke of hearing talks about possible reprisal attacks, and that the young girl has since fled the area due to the threats. |
