Star Tell Me Pastor

When love grows cold

Dear Pastor,

This is my first letter to you. I met this guy who I liked and noticed he liked me also. We were friendly until we started a relationship. It was like a blessing when he came into my life. Then the blessing became a curse.

After two months together, I felt we should be friends because I was going to school. At the same time, he said to me there was a rumour going around that he got a girl pregnant and I was surprised because it was not me, so we separated.

A few days later I saw him with another girl who is my friend. He was hugging her right in front of me, like he wanted me to get jealous. The fact is I still like him. I really like him and I don't know what to do. Please help me.

K.,

Dear K.,

You have not given your age but you sound like a young teenager. You and this guy were experiencing puppy love. You discovered early the puppy had fleas, so you backed away. You also realised your lessons came first.

I congratulate you for being wise. You still like this guy but he is really not priority. Don't be concerned about the girl you saw him with, or other girls for that matter. Love yourself more than you love him and stick with the books. As you grow up, you will realise men are not running away. So don't allow any man to make you feel inadequate. Educate yourself and be in a position to support yourself and do whatever you want to do in life.

Pastor
