NWC to conduct maintenance work - Corporate Area customers urged to store water

The National Water Commission (NWC) is urging its customers in the Corporate Area to store water as they will be carrying out maintenance and improvement works this week.

The NWC says works will be carried out on two of its major Corporate Area water supply systems.

According to the commission, the Mona Treatment Plant will be taken out of operation today at 3 p.m., until 6 a.m., and tomorrow for maintenance work.

Customers served by this system will experience no water conditions for the period of disruption.

Areas that will be affected include: Mona, Cross Roads, Mountain View, Old Hope Road, Devon Square, Waterloo Road, Eastwood Park, Half-Way-Tree Road, Upper Maxfield Avenue, New Kingston, Liguanea, Mona Road, Ravina, Pines of Karachi, Hagley Park Road, Harbour View, Shooters Hill and Bull Bay.

Customers served by the Constant Spring Treatment Plant will experience a similar disruption in their water supply on Friday, between the hours of 8 a.m., and 4 p.m.

Areas that will be affected include: Constant Spring, Norbrook, Cherry Gardens, Havendale, Half-Way Tree, Lady Musgrave, sections of Liguanea, Manor Park, Short-wood Road and all roads leading off, Graham Heights, Aysham, Allerdyce, Acadia, White Hall Gardens, Belgrade, Kingswood, Riva Ridge, Eastwood Park Gardens, Hughenden, Stillwell Road, Grants Pen and surrounding areas.
