Couple remanded for murder

A St Thomas couple who has been charged with murder was further remanded in the Yallahs Resident Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.

They are 19-year-old Alicia Daley and her 24-year-old common-law husband Lincoln Davids, both of Beacon Hill in the parish.

Both were arrested last November for the murder of Teffel Rutty, a returning resident of Seaforth in the parish.

They are scheduled to return to court on October 26.

Rutty's body was found in a pit latrine on November 1.

It is alleged that the couple was later caught trying to sell his car to a man in Bull Bay, St Andrew.

Daley was offered bail in May, but has not been able to take up the offer.

It is reported that she is the mother of a five-month-old baby, who was born while she was in custody.
