Specialist for Heroes Day salute concert

Fast rising Magnum Kings and Queens finalist specialist is one the main attractions for a Heroes Day Salute concert, at Mass Camp, Monday, October 17.

Specialist with his hit single, Street Hustle (Phone card, phone card...) will feature during the much-anticipated reggae segment. There is a big craving for the street hustle tune on the streets, and it has been getting added attention on radio stations, television and cable networks.

Specialist, whose real name is Orane Wilson, told The Star that his fans can expect a lot of energy and lyrical delivery during his set.

"The people attending this show at Mass Camp can expect some of my hit songs and also a few new tunes. Street Hustle, the real hit song, Street Hustle part two, Time Hard and Gallis Anthem. The crowd can also look out for Nah Pree Nuh War," he said.

Meanwhile, the concert which is in aid of charity also include, veteran reggae singer Tanya Stephens, soca queen Allison Hinds, and Alaine.

The show will be staged in three segments featuring soca, dancehall and reggae. Allison Hinds will headline the soca segment, and she will get support from soca singer Shadow Man from St Maarten. Alaine will be the headliner for the dancehall segment, which will also feature DJ Villa Vil, who recently teamed up with Charlie Black and Future Fambo with the Party Anthem, and the comical duo Apache Chief and Sarge. Vintage artistes Tinga Stewart and Eddie Fitzroy are also confirmed for the show. Kurfew will be the backing band.

The proceeds of this event will go towards the rehabilitation of the general infrastructure of schools and the physical support of the orphanage and other youth organisations within the community.

The FOSC is a charity organisation that was established to assist the community to build and improve the artistic, cultural, educational, recreational and social well-being of residents in the parish of St Catherine. Each year the organisation hosts various fund-raising events in a bid to raise funds to support the various charities they assist.
