The St Thomas police are yet to establish a motive behind the shooting death of a man in the parish on Saturday night.

He has been identified as 18-year-old Darrien Nicholas Thompson of Chovey Housing Scheme in Port Morant.

Reports from the police are that at about 11p.m., Thompson, who was in the Bath community, went to visit friends in an area known as 'Vietnam'.

It is reported that minutes later, residents heard a man crying out for "murder" and heard the sound of gunshots.
