A Jamaican was sentenced on Wednesday to 46 months in federal prison for attempting to possess with intent to distribute over 200lb of marijuana in Buffalo, Wyoming. He is 43-year-old Ian Findley, who will be deported after he serves his sentence. According to a report in the Buffalo News, an operation was carried out after the federal Drug Enforcement Administration received a telephone call from a representative of the Los Angeles High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area group regarding a shipment of parcels containing the marijuana. Assistant US Attorney Mary Clare Kane, who handled the case, said on June 3, 2009, Findley was involved in picking up the parcel at a shipping company in Buffalo. He was subsequently arrested and charged. |
