Man charged with murder remanded

One of two men charged with the murder of a Portmore racehorse jockey was remanded when he appeared in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court on Thursday.

He is Romain 'Juve' Williams of Gregory Park in the municipality.

When he appeared before Resident Magistrate Natalee Brooks, his matter was transferred to the Gun Court.

Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Steadman Bailey of the St Catherine Major Investigation Task Force told the court another man was in custody.

The court was told that Williams was charged jointly with Donovan Stewart. A third man is being sought in connection with the murder.

Allegations are that on May 2 last year, the deceased, Kemar Lynch, was taken from his car and shot repeatedly. He later died as a result of the injuries received.

An investigation resulted in the capture of Stewart and Williams.
