The Youth View Awards came and went with a number of artistes performing for the almost full National Indoor Sports Centre.

Tifa was the overall female winner of the night walking away with four awards in total (winning all her nominated categories).

Rising sensation Popcaan was the most celebrated celeb/artiste of the night walking away with three awards. Each time he made his way to the stage the audience cheered louder and louder for the Only Man She Want artiste. His performance was one of the most anticipated for the night with the patrons in general standing and singing along to each song that he performed.

Other performances for the night came from Chris Martin, So You Think You Can Dance All-star contestant Comfort Fedoke, I-Octane, On the Verge winner Tashauna Williams, Laza Morgan, Ikaya and many more.

Probably one of the best performances for the night was the opening act where the night's two-time award-winning trio - Fambo, Tifa and Wayne Marshall performed the hit song Swaggin' (WTF). The performance set the tone for the others on the night as they got the patrons excited about what was to come for the rest of the evening. Ikaya, in a tribute to the King of Reggae, Bob Marley, also gave a very commendable performance of his world renowned Redemption Song.

Vybz Kartel was given the nod for two awards and although he wasn't able to collect his awards, Milk, the self-professed 'girl boss' collected on behalf of the 'world boss'.

Interspersed between award categories were the YVA dancers who did a great job of entertaining the audience. The dance routines were high energy and very engaging dancing to hits from dancehall, to hip hop to R&B. The hosts for the evening, Tami Chynn and Kruddy did a great job holding their own and keeping the patrons entertained. They bid adieu to the patrons about minutes to 11 p.m., and welcomed Popcaan to the stage who closed with hits like Clean, Party Shot and others as the confetti rained across the VVIP.
