Murder accused attorney to apply for bail

A bail application is expected to be made on April 25 for Lorenzo Hall, the man accused of fatally stabbing a University of Technology student, during a dispute over a woman recently.

When Hall's matter was mentioned in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Thursday, his attorney, Keith Bishop, advised that the application would be made then.

The post-mortem report was also outstanding.

Hall has been charged with the murder of Alex Brown who was 21 years old at the time of his demise.

Allegations are that Brown was visiting a female friend in the community of Elletson Flats when Hall reportedly arrived and an argument developed between them.

It is reported that a knife was then used to stab Brown in the chest.

The police were summoned and Brown was taken to the University Hospital of the West Indies where he died while being treated.
