Anthony Cruz - File photos Reggae musician Anthony Cruz has found himself in a love triangle with Mother and Daughter - his latest release produced by Tads International. Inspired by a real-life situation, Cruz said the song is one that some males can relate to while it asks 'what would you do?' to others who can't. What would you do if you were in my shoe/ Got introduced to your girlfriend's mother and you found out that she had a crush on you/ And deep down you know you want her too/ Now would you take it or would you leave it/ She's got the money and she's willing to spend/ And every time when she pass inna di likkle tight shorts you a figet seh yuh have a girlfriend, he sings in the opening lines of the song. very interesting "Is a real situation for me and at the same time nuff a me bredrin dem seh suh too. Mi know di man dem aguh can relate to it. It's gonna be very interesting to hear what the men have to say. It's just a tune weh aguh nice just like how Half-Way Tree and Block Di Road was nice," said Anthony Cruz. A video for Mother and Daughter is being organised for early summer. He recently released his Cruz Control album on his Shan Shan Music label which he said has been doing fairly well. It includes songs such as Only The Father, which was number one in Africa late last year and Burn Dem Everyday with Capleton which was produced by Mixing Finger. Anthony Cruz recently received a British Reggae Awards nomination for Best Male International Singer and he urges all to log on to Facebook.com and vote from his page. He heads to Canada for a few shows and is expected to be off to the US after returning to Jamaica. |
