Woman held up, robbed of panties

Two men accused of robbing a woman of six panties were remanded in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Friday.

Kevin Robinson and Jeremiah Samuels are accused of attacking the woman, beating her and taking the panties along with other stuff she had in her handbag.

Both men have been charged with robbery with aggravation and assault occasioning bodily harm. They are to return to court on Thursday.

The court heard that on the day of the incident, both men accosted the female complainant near the health and day- care centre of the University of the West Indies, Mona campus.

One of the men punched the complainant in the face, causing her to fall to the ground. The men then made off with the complainant's handbag which contained several items, including a Nokia phone valued at approximately $3,000, jeans pants and six female panties, among other personal items.

An alarm was raised and the men were later picked up and charged.
