Lucci Gabana makes big waves with 'Ride Tonite' |

|
Lucci Gabana, a United States-based rapper of Jamaican parentage, is creating a big buzz stateside with his tight rhymes and street swagger. Gabana's new club banger, Ride Tonite, is blowing up on the club scene on the east coast, a development which has prompted a lot of Internet chatter on the young rapper in recent weeks. "The buzz is growing here in the US and even in Kingston. The brand Lucci Gabbana is making a statement in the world of music," the smooth-talking Lucci Gabana said. Born Alwin Squire to Jamaican parents, Lucci Gabanagrew up in the multi-cultural mecca of Toronto, Canada. He spent a couple of his formative years in Atlanta, Georgia, before moving back to Canada. A true prodigy, Lucci Gabana has been rapping since age 13. He showed great musical proficiency at an early age, playing instruments such as the piano, flute, and drums at age six. He started his own record label, S-Q Records, at 18. Headquartered in Toronto, the label also operates out of the major cities of New York, Miami, London, and Kingston. Gabana is doing it real big! "I just released a new single called Ride Tonite, which premiered on Clinton Lindsay's programme and his network in New York and Miami in June. The song also made its debut in the UK on Lightning FM this Saturday and in Jamaica on ZIP," the rapper said. Ultra-talented singer The R&B-influenced Ride Tonite features ultra-talented singer Craig Smart. It is a typical club banger with a catchy singalong chorus. Lucci has a limber and elastic delivery which he uses to good effect on this track rapping about the usual street topics: cash, hustling, and 'hos'. Gabana is a master at creating juicy cuts with aggressive catchphrases, and he is at the top of the game on the bouncy, hard-hitting Da Boss Is Back, and he scores major points on Get The Money, which features dancehall newblood Don Sniper. "I have been getting some good feedback from Da Boss Is Back, and Andrew Powell of Stampede Street Charts, who does some of our street promotions in Jamaica, says it is gaining traction," Gabana said. The Ride Tonite single is already getting rotation on FM radio in the UK, the USA, Canada, Italy, and Jamaica, while Get the Money hit digital charts in the USA and is currently on ethnic reggae charts in the UK. The Get the Money video is currently in rotation on CVM Plus, TVJ, MDTV in Jamaica, Flava TV, MTV Iggy in UK, BENTV Africa, BET, ABC Miami, and Punch Tv in the USA. The video has also showed up on the Suzie Q show on TVJ and was the subject of a feature on FIWI Choice on CVM. S-Q Records currently has five artistes under management including flagship artiste Gabana; Don Sniper; Mike Moscato, a New York-based rapper; Nagz Saprano; and Mic Sikey of Time Wasted, a talented group of rappers based in Toronto.
