Q Ban shoots 'Go Hard', 'Float It' videos

Mandeville-based deejay Q Ban is pushing ahead aggressively with his career shooting two videos for the singles 'Go Hard' and 'Float It' on the new Aurora Skies rhythm.

"Several scenes for Go Hard were shot in Mandeville, while Black River was the primary location for the Float It video shoot. Both shoots were a lot of fun - pretty girls, hype vehicles - and then the jet skis vibe was great for Black River. The videos are going to look amazing!" Q Ban said in a release.

In the meantime, Q Ban's breakout hit,Weh Di Money Deh?, jumped a few places to number 13 on the HYPE TV Top 20 chart. The video is currently in rotation on local video channels.

Interest in music

As a teenager, Q Ban always showed an interest in music while attending Manchester High School in Manchester. He transferred to Munro College during his third-form year. When he left high school, he contemplated a career in the business world, and he began to do an associate degree in business management at Knox Community College. However, financial problems soon interrupted his studies and he decided to take a year off school and try to earn money.

Since then, he has inked a deal with the Usual Suspects Production, and his visibility and presence in the local dancehall market has skyrocketed.

He has appeared on a number of local stage shows, performing at the University of the West Indies, St Andrew High School for Girls, Spanish Town High and Meadowbrook High in recent weeks.
