A return-to-court date of July 11 was set in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Wednesday in a matter involving a man charged with the murder of another. He is Kirk Brown. The court heard that on December 3, 2011, about 9 a.m., Brown, a fisherman, along with three other men, including one known only as 'Cornbread', had a dispute involving the now deceased man at the Greenwich Farm Fishing Village in St Andrew. The man ran from his attackers and was chased on to the nearby T. Geddes Grant compound where he was beaten with stones and sticks and stabbed with a knife. The man was rushed to the Kingston Public Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. Brown was remanded until July 11. |
