A man who is accused of stabbing his stepson to death was remanded in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Friday.

He is 31-year-old Horace Frazer who has been charged with murder.

Dead is 24-year-old Devar Akeem Erskine from Vineyard Town, Kingston.

Frazer is to return to court on July 7, when the matter will be mentioned as the post-mortem report is outstanding.

Allegations are that the accused and Erskine were involved in a long-standing dispute.

The court heard that on the day of the incident, Frazer was attacked during an argument and hit in the head with a piece of block.

It is alleged that Frazer was also stabbed in his head and in turn used a knife to fatally stab Erskine all over his body.

The accused was subsequently arrested and charged.
