New trial date set for Patrick Powell |

|
A new date has been set for the trial of Patrick Powell, the businessman charged with the murder of 17-year-old former Kingston College student Khajeel Mais. The date was set when Powell appeared in the Home Circuit Court yesterday. The case is now scheduled to get underway on September 17. THE STAR understands that the matter was rescheduled because of the ongoing trial of another murder matter. It was reported that Mais was shot and killed on July 1, in Havendale, St Andrew while in a taxi heading to a fete at the Meadowbrook High School. |
