Former B.B. Coke High School student Christopher Campbell who pleaded guilty to using a pair of scissors to stab a teacher in the chest two years ago is to know his fate on July 9, when he returns to court for sentencing. The 19-year-old appeared in the Santa Cruz Resident Magistrate's Court on Thursday. According to court documents, on the day in question Campbell was being reprimanded by the teacher when he pulled the scissors and stabbed him in the chest causing one of his lungs to collapse. The teacher was taken to hospital where he was admitted for four days. Campbell fled the scene but was later arrested by the police. Resident Magistrate Dale Palmer ordered that a social inquiry report be done before the accused is sentenced. |
