Andre' Williams, STAR Writer A Jamaican man is now dead and his female companion hospitalised following a shooting incident in Ealing west of London England Wednesday afternoon, THE STAR has learnt. According to information from the London Evening Standard, the dead man known only as 'Sonny' is being linked to a notorious west London gang. The shooting reportedly took place just yards from a primary school. Information gathered by our news team indicates the victims were gunned down in a flat in Ealing. Little is known of the couple, but the London Metropolitan Police theorise the man was a member of the Mus Love gang, that operates around Kensal Green. The woman, 28, was taken to hospital where her condition was said to be stable. The couple, believed to be Jamaican with two daughters, were shot at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday while parents were picking up their children from St John's Primary School situated near the crime scene. According to reports Paramedics were at the scene within four minutes, but were unable to save the man. Officers from the Trident squad have launched a murder investigation and streets near the apartment block were cordoned off after the shooting while parents were given a police escort to pick up their children. A resident Imran Kirmani, 47, told reporters, "It was very scary. I was out, my wife was inside. She heard shots...four shots. She came outside and she didn't see anything, and after a while the police came. All the children are scared." |
