Bridgeport into SDC 20/20 dricket final

Defending champions, Bridgeport, stormed into the Portmore parish final of the Social Development Commission (SDC), community 20/20 Cricket competition with an easy 100-run win over Hamilton Gardens last Saturday.

Bridgeport piled up a challenging 208-4 off their allotted 20 overs, as Shane Brooks smashed 107, while veteran batsman, Delroy Morgan chipped in with 44. Hamilton's Damain Wright bagged all four wickets with figures of 4-15.

Hamilton Gardens at their turn at bat, folded for 108, as Rae Roberts hit 27. Marlon Gardner (4-18), and Shane Brooks (3-21), took most wickets for Bridgeport.

Bridgeport's opponents in the final will be arch-rivals Portmore Pines, that knock-out Port Henderson by eight wickets. Scores: Port Henderson 149-9, Junior Stewart 64; Terrence Brown 3-17; Richard Grant 3-29. Portmore Pines 151-2; Kemar Foster 57, Marshall Marsh 51.

The final is scheduled for this afternoon at 2:00 at the Bridgeport Sports ground. However, a third and fourth place play-off precedes the final, at 10 a.m. as Port Henderson takes on Hamilton Gardens.
