I-Maroon told The WEEKEND STAR of his motivation to do the song saying, "In Jamaica, we are very much against same-sex marriage and since recently there seems to be some leeway given to those people. The majority of us don't want this because it nuh right. So mi just decide to mek this song to show the displeasure with the leniency weh dem a get." He added that he is not for violence against homosexuals nor is he in agreement with Beenie Man's recent statements towards the homosexual/gay community. This is also expressed in the song with the line, "I nuh waan gay money fi dem money can tan." The entertainer said that he will continue to make music that reflects the Jamaican culture. He is currently doing recordings that are soon to be released. |
