The St Ann police have detained three persons in connection with Saturday's double murder at a bar in the parish. The police say charges may be laid on at least two of those persons. Joshman 'Rasta' Douglas from McNie district, Clarendon, and Shamoya Henry, 26, from Faith's Pen, both in the parish, were gunned down in Johnson Town, Golden Grove, near Claremont. Henry was the bartender, while Douglas was a patron at the bar. Homicide detectives picked up two suspects on Sunday, while the third turned himself over to police on Monday. Reports said residents heard explosions about 7:30 p.m. and alerted the police, who found Henry with a bullet wound to the head and Douglas' throat slashed. The incident left many people in shock. |
