Murder suspect held for more questioning

A suspect held in connection with the murder of two men in New Kingston three weeks ago is to be questioned in relation to a series of robberies, and at least two other murders commited in the area, police say.

Mark Sanguinnette was recently charged for the murders of Winston Ramsey, otherwise called 'Avatar', and Jermaine Thompson who were reportedly found dead with multiple chop wounds in an open lot along Trafalgar Road on June 13.

Sanguinnette was remanded last Friday when he appeared before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court, and is to return later this month.

Meanwhile, investigators from the St Andrew Central police say Sanguinnette will be questioned in connection with the death of an unidentified man whose body was also found last month with multiple chop wounds along Dumfries Road in New Kingston.
