The St Andrew Central police now have in custody a woman believed to be responsible for the fatal stabbing of her co-worker on Sunday night at a business place on Constant Spring Road.

Reports are that the deceased, an Italian, believed to have been employed as a chef, was killed following an argument.

He has been identified as 40-year-old Pablo Auigliano of a Shortwood Road address.

Information reaching THE STAR is that about 8 p.m. on Sunday, the two, who both work inside the kitchen at the establishment, had an altercation.

According to a source at the restaurant, the female accidentally splashed hot oil on Auigliano who was not pleased about what had transpired, and an argument developed between the two.

Allegations are that during the dispute, the female used a knife to stab Auigliano which resulted in him being seriously injured.

The police were notified of the incident and the woman was subsequently held and taken into custody. Her name is currently being withheld pending further investigation by homicide detectives.
