|
Rasbert Turner, Star Writer Several patrons at a jerk centre along the Ewarton Main Road in St Catherine were left trembling yesterday after a gunman robbed the establishment in broad daylight. The incident occurred about 5 p.m. while business was booming. Reports are that the man walked in, pointed a gun on the attendant and demanded "the money." After he was given the money he calmly walked onto a nearby rail track and escaped. "It was a very frightening experience to see the gun. However, the owner move like an athlete after he realised the man gone and him still alive," a bystander said. The Linstead police have since started a probe into the incident. The Star was told that businesses along the major thoroughfare have often been the target of robbers. |
