Accused tire thieves bail extended Two men accused of stealing a quantity of wheelbarrow tires from a container at the Kingston Wharf did not enter a plea and had their bails extended in court on Thursday. The accused, Pete Samuels and Kevin Walker, are to return to court on September 11, for plea and case management. Stopped and searched Allegations are that on June 24 this year police stopped and searched a truck that was being driven by Samuels, as he was about to exit the wharf. The search, it is alleged, revealed the tyres valued at over $166,000. The court heard that when Samuels entered the terminal the tires were not in the truck. The court also heard that Walker, who has also been implicated in the matter, was employed to the company as a truck driver. |
