Investigators from the Lottery Scam Task Force say they are continuing their investigations that led to the arrest of 19-year-old Javane Chambers of Paul Island, Grange Hill, in Westmoreland. Chambers has been charged with conspiracy to defraud, money laundering and collecting money under false pretence. It is alleged that Chambers has fleeced more than US$200,000 (J$17,963,560) from several unsuspecting persons. Reports are that the task force carried out an operation in the community about 5 a.m. during which Chambers' house was searched and he was arrested. Laptops, telephones and other items were seized in the operation.
