Waterhouse teen attacked and killed

A teen was attacked and killed early Thursday morning in Waterhouse, St Andrew, shortly after it is reported that he left the home of his much older lover, THE STAR understands.

Dead is 17-year-old labourer Delroy 'Popsy' Raymond, of a Malcolm Drive, Kingston 11 address.

According to reports from the Olympic Gardens police, Raymond was fatally shot by his attackers at 6 a.m. along a section of Farham Road.

The police say they were summoned to the scene after residents reported that they heard loud explosions in the area.

Our news team was told that on arrival, they found Raymond's body with gunshot wounds. He was reportedly taken to the Kingston Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A resident from the Waterhouse community told THE STAR that Raymond died in an unfamiliar territory.

The resident expressed, "Him know him status ina di place... Mi get up this morning and hear say dem kill Popsy dung di road ... Dem have it say a woman him go sleep wid and man lay wait him and shoot him ina him head."

The police informed THE STAR that investigation into the homicide are continuing.
