Ganja seized, five-acre field destroyed |

Rasbert Turner, Star Writer An operation conducted by the Bog Walk police and the Transnational Crime and Narcotics Division recently, led to the seizure of 400 pounds of ganja and the destruction of five acres of ganja field. Reports reaching The Star are that the operation was conducted between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. in Trafalgar, a district just outside Bog Walk, St Catherine. According to reliable sources, the drug was located in a rugged terrain in the district. During the operation, police reaped and burnt the illegal drug and seedlings. No one has been held in connection with the find the police said, however, investigations are ongoing. |
