Woman charged for hidden ganja in slipper |

A woman was yesterday arrested and charged after police found ganja in a slipper she took for a prisoner during visiting hours at the Gun Court Remand Centre. Reports reaching THE STAR are that about 3:30 p.m., 20-year-old Suzan Gaynor of Love Lane, Kingston, attended the Gun Court Remand Centre to visit a prisoner who was being held there. Police said during a search of of Gaynor's belongings, the ganja was found hidden in the sole of a slipper. She was subsequently arrested and charged for breaching the Correctional Act and for illegal possession of ganja. Police said she is to scheduled to appear in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Wednesday. |
