Meat cutter granted bail
A meat cutter who has been charged with the stabbing death of another man was granted $400,000 bail in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.

Charged with murder is André Lindsay from a Corporate Area address.

Lindsay is to return to court on October 1, when the matter will be mentioned as the file is incomplete.

The Crown is alleging that about 7:30 a.m. on August 20, Lindsay and the now deceased had a verbal which matured into a fight.

The defendant then used a knife to inflict numerous wounds to the upper body of the man.

Both men were taken to the Kingston Public Hospital for treatment where the defendant was treated and released in police custody.

The Crown also revealed that the knife used in the attack was recovered with bloodstains. Lindsay told the court that he acted in self-defence as he too received injuries in the incident.
