André Williams, STAR Writer

One of the suspects wanted for questioning in connection with the murder of a farmer in Trelawny last week was fatally chopped by a mob in the parish on Sunday.

The deceased, 31-yr-old Leroy 'Supa' Pottinger, was allegedly chopped and beaten to death by an angry mob in a section of a community called Lowe Key in Trelawny.

Information gathered by THE STAR is that Pottinger was a primary suspect in the shooting death of 31-yr-old Delon 'Bada' James, a farmer of Lime Tree in Wait-a-Bit in the parish.

It is reported that a huge crowd was on hand to witness the jungle justice being meted out on Pottinger.

The police in Trelawny have since confirmed the deadly attack on Pottinger and told our news team that the investigation was ongoing.

According to the Wait-A-Bit police, James and relatives were at home on August 29 when armed men gained entry to his premises demanding money.

THE STAR understands that the robbers shot James before escaping with $100,000.

James was rushed to the hospital, but succumbed to his injuries and was subsequently pronounced dead.
