GUNMEN SHOOT THREE |

Police personnel are now in another section of the beleaguered Central Village community in St Catherine following the killing of a woman and injuring of two others by gunmen last night. The police are reporting that gunmen went on the rampage in an area of the community called Zambia. When the shooting ended, a woman was dead with two other persons hospitalised. The incident occurred about 8:15 p.m. when men armed with AK-47 rifles started firing. THE STAR has learnt that the shooting started after the gunmen shot out the lights plunging the place into darkness. A barrage of shots were fired indiscriminately which resulted in the three persons being hit. On Saturday, three men were shot and killed in Big Lane. The residents are simply crying out for help in the darkness. - R.T. |
