Crystal Harrison, Staff Reporter

A 29-year-old man who is accused of killing his mother during her sleep and then reporting it to the cops was slapped with a murder charge on Monday.

He is Keno Johnson from a Hope Village, Kingston, address.

THE STAR understands that a knife was thrown in the elderly woman's back and was also used to stab her in the left eye.

Dead is 78-year-old Veronica Wizzard, retired higgler.

Information reaching our news team is that the incident happened close to two weeks ago in Hope Village.

Johnson is to appear in the Corporate Area Resident Magis-trate's Court tomorrow.

According to reports from the Denham Town police, Johnson and his mother had an argument and it is alleged that he waited until she was asleep to attack her.

It is reported that about 11 p.m., Johnson threw a knife in his mother's back and cut her several times over her body before using the knife to stab her in the left eye.

Johnson, who had lived alone with his mother, is reported to have waited until daybreak before he reported the incident to the police.

He was arrested and subsequently taken home where his mother's body was found wrapped in a sheet.

The police say Johnson is suspected to be of unsound mind as he reportedly told the cops that he is an outpatient at the Bellevue Hospital.
