Elaine Reid looked on in horror yesterday after an International motor truck came within inches of crashing through her front door. The truck, which stopped inches from her doorsteps, had moments before damaging her fence.

"I am really shocked by this incident. I was around the back watching television and I heard a loud bang," Reid said recounting the experience.

Reports are that about 11:20 a.m., two trucks heading in opposite direction were along the road when there was a slight collision.

The driver of the International truck lost control and the vehicle ran off the road hitting down a fence and stopping at the verandah.

"It was very frightening as one of the men came out the truck with blood coming from his head," Reid continued.

The St Catherine North Traffic Department has since charged one of the two truck drivers with careless driving.
