Members of the Anti-Corruption Branch today arrested and charged 43-year-old Joscelyn Richards, a police sergeant attached to the Traffic Headquarters, with three counts of forgery. The sergeant was charged after a ruling from the director of public prosecutions. A file had been submitted to the senior prosecutor following an investigation into irregularities relating to gas cards allotted to service vehicles, which revealed that he may have forged signatures on gas advance receipts at service stations. He was granted bail in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court in the sum of $350,000 and is to surrender his travel documents. |
