|
A woman charged with four counts of ganja-related charges and possession of counterfeit notes appeared before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday to answer to the charges. Curlin Brown, of a Corporate Area address, is charged with possession of, dealing in, taking steps to export ganja from Jamaica, possession of counterfeit note and conspiracy with others to export ganja. She pleaded guilty to all but one of the charges. She entered a not guilty plea in relation to the conspiracy charge. Brown is to return to court on September 28 for sentencing. Resident Magistrate Georgianna Frazer told the accused that the court will use the time to examine her records to see if she has any previous conviction or if this matter was a repeated offence. Brown was remanded into custody and a fingerprint order made. |
