Portmore Healthcare back-to-school health fair

The newly opened Portmore Hospital Complex run by Portmore Healthcare held a back-to-school health fair last Saturday.

Attractions at the event included bounce-a-bout, dance contests and bun-eating contest for the children. There were also prizes and surprises including books, school supplies, and gift baskets.

Booth holders included Therapeutic Associates, with machinery for all your physiotherapy needs; City of Kingston Credit Union, which displayed their services, and Med RX, a dealer in medical and surgical supplies. The Portmore Hospital Complex deals with medical and surgical procedures. There is also a dental lab, Portmore Smiles Dental Care with Dr Alicia Bartley and Dr Shawnette Finegan-Bailey. The dentists had a oral presentation on dental health, did live demonstrations and brushing techniques as well as flossing. They also did procedures such as filling, cleaning, root canal therapies and fitting of crowns.
