Police attached to the Transnational Crime and Narcotics Division destroyed over 10,000 pounds (4,545 kilograms) of ganja and about 1,000 pounds (454.5 kilograms) of hash oil by fire on Saturday.

The drugs, which had an estimated street value of $82 million, had been seized from drug dealers and abusers from as far back as 2011.

The police say they will continue their fight against the illegal drug trade.
