Custom cakes designed in the shape of some of the most private areas of the body are one of the newest trends at bachelorette and birthday parties, THE WEEKEND STAR understands.

Over the past year and a half, more persons, especially women, have been indulging in the eye-catching treat.

While custom cakes are nothing new, the WEEKEND STAR has learnt that in recent times, the shape of the penis is the most demanded design for women.

At least two pastry business owners recently told THE WEEKEND STAR that men too are loving the trend, however, they are afraid to make the orders for themselves.

According to the owner of Sugabuzz Desserts, Suelan Chung, "I've been doing custom cakes for the past two years, but been getting requests for the 'penis cakes' for maybe the past year and a half. The orders are usually for bridal showers and this request has been getting more frequent."

Chung continued, "the price may start from about 12,000 up but the costs vary depending on the amout of persons they would like to serve, the type of cake and also the design of the cake. Women mostly ask for a 'large penis'."

Melissa Chin-Holbrook, owner of Sweet Sensations, told THE WEEKEND STAR that her customers are also frequently demanding the penis-shaped cakes.

"I have been in this business for about seven years and for about a year or so there has been a great demand for custom cakes, especially the penis cake. Some customers request the penis design on top of the cake and the persons who would normally request these cakes are females for bachelorette parties."

Chin-Holbrook added that men at times ask a female to request cakes in the shape of different sections of the woman's body.

"Certain cakes the men wouldn't eat, but I know that for like a man's birthday, sometimes I would get requests for the cake to be designed like a breast or a hip. I have also received requests for the cake to be designed in the shape of the vagina," Chin-Holbrook said.

There were mixed views when THE WEEKEND STAR spoke to males and females about the new cake designs.

"I think those cakes are really unique and people are really loving it, but I don't really have a problem with dem once adults are the ones indulging in it. I wouldn't eat dem cake deh still, maybe jus the one that shape like the breast," Jeremy Wilson told us yesterday.

Another male Terrence Gillings who had a similar view said, "me nuh too inna dem cake still because dem deh pan di freaky side. I am quite fine with the regular birthday cakes."

Meanwhile, at least two women told THE WEEKEND STAR that the trendy cakes are fun.

"Those cakes are really creative and I don't see the big deal that men have with them because they are just cakes. A cake is a cake. I have no problem with them," said one woman, Allison Brown.
