Breakthrough made in |

Police investigators have made a breakthrough in the murder of Corporal Warren Campbell, 26, of the Organised Crime Investigation Division, who was shot dead on Thursday after two suspects were taken into custody for the incident. Reports are that the men were held about 9:30 p.m. on Friday. They reportedly went to the Spanish Town Police Station and reported that they were robbed and shot along Barrett Street in the old capital. Investigators who were on high alert, searched the Nissan motor car they were travelling in. It is revealed that items belonging to the slain cop were found. Both men were subsequently taken into custody on suspicion of murder. Their names have been withheld by investigators pending further investigations. Campbell was shot and killed in Patrick City, St Andrew, while walking with a female. - R.T. |
