A 50-year-old man is now being sought by the St Andrew North police in relation to the death of his wife in Mavis Bank in the parish on Saturday night. The cops told THE STAR that an alleged love affair may have resulted in the death of the woman. Dead is Vinnette Nixon from Mavis Bank, who was reportedly chopped to death. THE STAR understands that residents reportedly heard screams coming from the couple's home and went to make checks. Upon the arrival of the residents, it is reported that Nixon's husband was seen coming from the home and he allegedly told the concerned residents that he gave his wife a couple slaps and she is sleeping. The police say they were alerted after the residents found Nixon in a pool of blood. According to the Mavis Bank police, Nixon's husband was not at the home when they arrived. Investigations are continuing. - C.H. |
